A retro chair is the coolest in chic styling, some with steel legs and and various colors of upholstery. These chairs go exceedingly well with light colored fabric or leather chairs, and their height of 33 inches makes them naturally comfortable.
You can create cozy spaces in a dorm or den with Mitt Chairs. These are colorful and unique, and ideal for teens, kids and any adults who don't mind bringing back feelings of their youth. Mitt Chairs are upholstered in fabrics that are comfortable and plush, but also easy to clean.
You probably have wondered how comfortable retro chairs are. They usually have a seat that is medium to firm and the cushioning has “give” to it, which provides comfort. The foam padding gives you support, and the hand's fingers give your back support, if you lean back in the chair. The seat swivels all the way around for a flighty and fun feeling.
Shoe Chairs are retro chairs that can be designed in your choice of colors. They are so individualized, after you select your own insole, outsole and trim colors. What could be better than a custom chair with all your favorite colors included?
The Lips Chair is another fun and funky retro chair to bring life to your home. It's more than a little flirty, and made in a perfect shape to support your bottom. The color of choice is red, of course, and the upholstery is a plush fabric. The lower and upper lips are supported by chrome legs. This chair is definitely an attention-getter. Lips Chairs are about 27 inches high, for extra comfort.
The Egg Chair is a great fashion piece, even though it can actually be a bit uncomfortable to sit in. You probably remember chairs like this from your youth. The Ball Chair, from which the egg is thought to have evolved, was first introduced in 1963. At that time, fiberglass and plastic were new materials in furniture design, and the Ball Chair was revolutionary. Youth and young adults loved the new design, and you can still buy Ball Chairs today, if at a higher price than you might want to pay for a whimsical piece.
If you don't want to spend the money a Ball Chair commands, you may opt for its cheaper cousin, the Sphere Chair. It's actually a virtual clone of Ball Chairs, and it's not all that expensive unless you add the built-in speakers. That sends the price considerably higher. Some talented people have opted to make their own Sphere Chairs, and it can be done, if you're creative and handy. You can also find Costco retro chairs, and they're also seen occasionally on eBay, although the bidding wars can get a bit out of hand, and the shipping may be prohibitively high.
The retro Tulip dining set is a retro diner furniture find; it has a 30-inch table, and the matching retro vinyl chairs are 32 inches tall at the back of the chair, and 20 inches in width. You can find these retro dining chairs made in the seventies, or buy new tables and chairs that are crafted to look like vintage sets.
Retro chrome chairs with tables will have you remembering Mom's apple pie with ice cream. The seats are comfortably padded with two inches of foam, and the steel frame helps the chairs hold up well over time. A retro chair in the kitchen, like a stool, will dress up a breakfast island.
